What is the best section to sit at Fenway Park? ›

Field Boxes, also known as the "lower bowl,” have excellent views and are coveted among fans with money to spend. Many season-ticket holders sit in the Loge Box, to the right of home plate. Other hardcore fans tend to congregate in Section 40, close to center field.

One thing I noticed was that it was a lot quieter sitting on the Green Monster than other seats, though it is probably because they are fewer seats and they are spaced out more; I actually liked the less noise, it made it more enjoyable watching the game.

But only one is so memorable that all you have to do is say "the red seat" and know that people will immediately know what you mean. In the deepest part of right field at Fenway Park, seat 21 in row 37 of section 42 is painted bright red, standing out amongst an endless sea of green.

Covered Seating at Fenway Park

There are covered seats in the Infield Grandstand sections on the lower level, behind home plate or on the 3rd base side of the ballpark, and farther back in one of those same sections or in a row that's covered.

A Sports Bar That's a Part of Fenway Park

In Fenway Park's centerfield, we have a unique sports bar just feet away from the famous red seat beneath the bleachers. There is no better place to view any baseball game than at the Bleacher Bar, where you will find excellent food, drink, and service.

Fans behind home plate and on the 3rd base side in Grandstand, Field Box, or Loge Box seats are in the shade, with their backs to the sun. The sunniest seats are in the outfield bleachers. Seats along the 1st baseline will still be exposed to sunlight for late afternoon games.

Fenway Park only allows single-compartment bags that are no bigger than 12"x12"x6". Backpacks and backpack-style purses as well as duffel bags and other multi-compartment bags are not allowed inside Fenway Park, according to the MLB Red Sox website.

How much does it cost to sit there. While the 'Red Seat' has historically cost $23 to $45 to sit in per game, baseball ticket prices have steadily rose throughout the years, so the iconic seat's price may have also risen towards the higher end of that range.

Upper bleacher seats are the cheapest, Club, Green Monster, and Dugout seats are the priciest. These are among the most popular seats in Fenway.

The grandstand is in essence like a single section of a stadium, but differs from a stadium in that it does not wrap all or most of the way around. Grandstands may have basic bench seating, but usually have individual chairs like a stadium. Grandstands are also usually covered with a roof, but are open on the front.

Why sit on the Green Monster? ›

The Green Monster offers a view that very few people ever experience and an electrifying connection with history. The famed left field wall is the perfect spot for networking or a pre-event social hour.

Ticket prices on opening day for Green Monster seats range from $150 to $550. The Red Sox are again using a "dynamic pricing" model for those seats, where ticket costs are determined by factors like the game date, opponent and weather.

The lone red seat in the right field bleachers (Section 42, Row 37, Seat 21) signifies the longest home run ever hit at Fenway. The home run, hit by Ted Williams on June 9, 1946, was officially measured at 502 feet (153 m), well beyond "Williamsburg".

For general SRO tickets there are designated areas painted around Fenway where you should stand. Some of these are behind the seats with a nice table for your beer, but the larger areas are behind the seats and then behind the aisle of people walking around. Not the best, but still a fun place to hang out.

If you are not a Red Sox fan you are gonna love Fenway. It's small for a major league stadium and that makes it the best ever. While I prefer seats in the shaded areas there isn't a bad seat in the house. All because it's small.

There are 1-18 rows in Grandstand sections and are located at highest position amongst three. Loge Boxes begin with row AA and end at row RR. The lowest section, the Field or Dugout Section has typically 1-2 rows followed by rows A-M. There are five (5) Entrance Gates to Fenway Park, Gates A-E.

Fenway Park probably has one of the highest numbers of obstructed seats of any major league stadium. There are many seats in the stadium that are positioned behind poles or other obstructions causing you to miss important parts of the game. You may be behind a pole and unable to see a major portion of the infield.

The best seats for a Chicago White Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field are located behind home plate or along the infield in sections 125-139. Club-level seats (300 sections) along the infield are also a nice option, as well as the seats up the first and 3rd baselines.
