Just to verify: when you say, “Remove the flavor packet from the beans and save for later use,” you mean to use it in a different recipe altogether, and you do NOT use it in this soup, right?

  2. Sara Reply

I only have canned beans available, how much should I decrease the liquid?

Looks delicious, but I don’t have an IP. Can I use a crockpot instead? How does that change the directions? Thank you!

    • Jackie sanders Reply

Can this be made in a crock pot and/or a regular stew pot on top of the stove?

  8. Laura Strnad Reply

Can this be made in a slow cooker and if so how long?

  9. Miriam Reply

Are the beans still supposed to be hard after the 40 minutes on high pressure? Making this now, and mine were. So, I’m adding a little more time before putting in the veggies and chicken. Hope I’m not making a mistake — only my second recipe in my IP. :)

    • Crissy Reply

Miriam, they definitely need that additional time that the recipe requires! :)
